#stickynoteromance

Graphic designers Ryan Tym and Richard Holt invented a primitive new form of social networking. Through the power of Post-it Notes and large windows, they were united with each other’s office.

What started out as a simple “Hello” message, quickly got a response back, before the conversation developed into two days of friendly banter. There were offers of tea, confessions of love, a knock-knock joke and even a marriage proposal all in the space of 48 hours.

At one point, there were five floors in three buildings, having cross-street conversations (albeit in as smaller sentences as possible!) and all of this soon went up online when our counterparts messaged “Flickr”.

From there, they all uploaded photos of the conversation to a group on the photo-sharing site, and the event soon gathered pace on Twitter, developing its own hashtag- #stickynoteromance.
